Welcome to Prismatic Pollinators—a new monthly series for all subscribers! This is an “end of the month” issue sharing a short channeled message + social posts, books, music, quotes, podcasts, and whatever else is inspiring me, igniting my curiosity, and transmuting through the filter of my heart.
But before I get to that, I want to acknowledge the intensity of these times we’re living through. I know in recent years, times always feel “intense”…but these past few weeks (hello eclipse portal…) the “pressure cooker” feeling has really amplified.
I’m sending you love wherever you are, whatever you’re going through. Here is a channeled message to close out the month:
Card: “Truth” Deck: Vessel Oracle
“Your heart is a portal to truth. Now more than ever, you must descend into your heart. When you don’t know what to do, go to your heart. When you aren’t sure what to say, go to your heart. When you aren’t certain how to discern truth from falsehood, fact from lie, go inside your heart. Listen. Feel. What comes up for you?
The truth resides in your heart. If the truth you hear is messy, complex, nuanced—good. Go deeper. The truth you hear will become even messier, more full of feeling, more complex. Good. Go deeper. Sit with the many Truths you feel swirling in your heart space.
Truth is a living thing. Truth does not have borders or edges. Truth does not fit neatly into any box, system, positionality, or ideology. Truth lives.
Truth beats in time with your heart. Feel the way Truth beats in time with your pulse, like a drum. Truth flows with your blood through your veins. Truth is alive, and moving.
What does your heart say to you? LISTEN.”
Quotes
“Owning up to one’s errors and shadowy side constitutes a preliminary phase in developing a broader sense of responsibility. The next phase occurs when one accepts one’s role in healing the world. Initiation is never just for oneself, even know ‘Know Thyself’ is the first injunction of all initiates. The less repeated but thoroughly companion summons is ‘Love the world.’ ‘Love’ here is fully a verb, not an emotion. Each initiate has the task to love and heal the world actively, out of the knowledge of who she or he is. The ‘voice of conscience’ and the voice of one’s calling are never far apart.”
—Linda Sussman, The Speech of the Grail: A Journey Toward Speaking That Heals and Transforms
“Myth as a living energy is inherently creative, story is inherently creative, because whatever collective vision or cosmology we hold, we birth that reality onto the earth, and it becomes our world. A new story, then, is a womb of sorts; it has the power to birth new worlds.
Seren Bertrand & Azra Bertrand, The Magdalene Mysteries: The Left-Hand Path of the Feminine Christ
“When you can observe yourself clearly and nonjudgmentally, the first step is to recognize the polarity. This is the hardest part, because when you are immersed in polarity it is like a house of mirrors, and seeing yourself is extremely difficult. Recognize the choices you can make from that place of polarity. Then look for the two competing emotions. For example, you could look for an emotion you crave and an emotion you want to avoid. Once you identify the two emotions that you crave and avoid, train yourself to rest there in the paradox of both. Don’t push any emotion away; feel them both. Rest there in the middle as much as you can. As you do, the alchemy begins and your vision changes. You start to see your situation differently, and the healing process begins to unfold.”
—Lyssa Royal Holt, The Golden Lake: Wisdom from the Stars for Life on Earth
“Cynics mock the hippy dream of ‘getting it together in the country’, but the reason for Nick Drake’s growing popularity so long after his death, as the planet enters an age of ecological despair, must have something to do with his refusal, at the end, to allow the serpent of cynicism to enter his garden. To be arrested by Nick Drake’s music is to acknowledge that if we all abandoned the calendar of industry, fashion and routine, slowed down to the magical time, stepped far beyond the chime of a city clock, took more time to hear what the trees whisper, what the sea sings and the moon brings, dusted by oak, ash and thorn, we might yet be granted a glimpse of Paradise.”
—Rob Young, Electric Eden: Unearthing Britain’s Visionary Music
“The most important thing each of us can know is our unique gift and how to use it in the world. Individuality is cherished and nurtured, because, in order for the whole to flourish, each of us has to be strong in who we are and carry our gifts with conviction, so they can be shared with others. Being among the sisters provides a visible manifestation of what a community can become when its members understand and share their gifts. In reciprocity, we fill our spirits as well as our bellies.”
