Dormant feels so much better than stagnant...I've been in a real holding pattern/cocoon stage with myself and my work the past couple months and have been doing my damnedest to live myself through it. I feel like I'm finally starting to process my goo and beginning to reform, and I need to give myself the grace to take the time it takes. This reframe of being dormant (and I love plants so it resonates extra deeply!) is so helpful...thank you 💜
OKAY LIKE WHAT 🤯 “late Middle English (in the senses ‘fixed in position’ and ‘latent’): from Old French, ‘sleeping’, present participle of dormir, from Latin dormire ‘to sleep’.”

I love the idea of being “dormant”. We are cooking to serve a new plate.

Yes I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that word “dormant” since I read it. I need to look up the etymology 😆
