The quantum creativity theme for February is “embrace your villain era.”
During my reflections on “creating from your alien frequency” throughout the month of January, I started thinking about how your authentic expression can kind of naturally lead into being perceived and labeled as the villain by others.
When you're authentic and expressing from that authenticity, when you're expressing from beyond the limitations of the frameworks of the dominant culture, you will be often misunderstood. You'll often be mischaracterized and even villainized by the people who don't get it, or even those who wish you wouldn't be doing what you're doing because it creates disruption and discomfort—and ultimately change. Human beings are naturally hardwired to resist against change.
Our ICONIC LUMINARY for February is LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR from the TV show Lucifer—and throughout the month, I’m going to share everything this character represents to me, and yhy he is such a powerful archetype for those of us who identify as outsiders, weirdos, freaks, artists, dreamers.
The cards I pulled for the theme of the month are: 4 of Swords (The Starchild Akashic Tarot) and “You’re Not for Everyone” (The Starseed Oracle.) Together, these cards illustrate and embody the frequency of what I wish to communicate, what I would like to hold us through this month as we explore the concept of being willing to be the villain in someone else's story. They’ll support us in tending any hurt feelings that will come up when we express our authentic truth and someone mischaracterizes or villainizes us against our willl—as can happen once we start to express our truth.
Even as you magnetize those who are meant to see you, you may also magnetize those who don't get it, don't like it—and want you to stop. And I don't want us to approach this from any sort of fear based perspective. But I do think it's important to sit with and deepen our capacity around.
The 4 of Swords provides a really stable and grounding support that we can rest in when these situations arise. Speaking your truth, sharing yourself, expressing authentically will at times ruffle some feathers—even if you're not trying to ruffle feathers. It's just a reality of the fully expressed creative. And so with the 4 of Swords we've got four, which is a number of stability and support. And we've got the Swords, which is the element of Air, the realm of the Mind.
This card offers a pathway to safeguard ourselves and our Minds and our thought patterns. When we are on our authentic path and other people decide to tell themselves stories about what our authentic path means to them. When that happens, all kinds of stuff can come up: we get triggered, we feel hurt. We feel misunderstood, rejected, outcast, exiled.
The 4 of Swords says we are allowed to carve out a boundary around the shape of our experience, that other people get to have their own experience. Other people's thoughts about us do not have to seep into our thoughts about ourselves. The 4 of Swords really supports us in creating boundaries around our experiences and boundaries around our choices and boundaries around our autonomy. And the 4 of Swords really supports us in not being people pleaser.
So that's what we're going to be experiencing and playing with and moving through for the month of February. We’re going to experiment with how to hold our own, even in the unpredictability of what other people think or say about us. And learn how to get grounded in our own perception of our own selves, despite what other people may say or think.
